But Harley learned the hard way that some brokers consider the Internet to be their domain, too. When she obtained the rights to an lucrative and possibly resalable domain name, her broker sued her to prevent her from taking the domain name with her.

"CompTIA Filing Highlights Serious Side Effects of EC Proposed Remedy in Microsoft Browser Case"

The Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA) today filed its statement in intervention with the European Commission (EC) in the Microsoft browser case, highlighting serious side effects within the ICT marketplace if the Commission's remedy is adopted. The EC claims that Microsoft's inclusion of its Internet Explorer web browser with its operating system is "unlawful" under EC law. In attempting to address this situation, the EC's remedy seeks to require third-party computer manufacturers (OEMs) to offer multiple internet browsers on every PC sold in the world, thus requiring consumers to choose browser(s) from a "ballot screen" before being able to proceed with normal computer use.  The following statement may be attributed to CompTIA Antitrust Counsel, Lars Liebeler:
