Susan
J. Snare is Senior Counsel at Thaler Liebeler, L.L.P. She practices
civil litigation, with particular
expertise in the area of business
litigation and employment law.
Ms.
Snare graduated cum laude from
Baylor University School of Law,
where she was a Notes and Comments
Editor for the Baylor Law Review,
and was a member of the Order of
Barristers.
Following her graduation from law
school, Ms. Snare practiced in
various firms in Dallas, Texas prior
to her move to Washington, D.C. In
the business litigation area, Ms.
Snare practiced in both federal and
state courts, litigating all types
of business disputes, including
contracts, fraud, breach of duty,
constructive trust, violations of
trade secrets, fraudulent transfers,
shareholders derivative actions,
negligence, tort, Lanham Act claims,
deceptive trade practice claims and
conspiracy claims.
In the employment area, Ms. Snare
represented employers in employment
litigation in federal and state
courts. She has had extensive
experience advising employers on
day- to-day employment decisions, as
well as providing representation
before administrative agencies. Ms.
Snare has provided in-house training
and conducted internal
investigations. Ms. Snare has also
served as an arbitrator in numerous
arbitrations involving employment
issues. Areas of expertise include:
Title VII, ADA ADEA, FMLA, pregnancy
discrimination, negligent hiring,
retaliation, wrongful termination,
breach of restrictive covenants and
covenants not to compete, breach of
employment agreements, and common
law causes of action arising out of
the employment context, such as
emotional distress, slander and
invasion of privacy.
Ms.
Snare is a member of the District of
Columbia and Texas bars and has been
admitted to practice before the U.S.
Court of Appeals, 5th Circuit, and
the U.S. District Court for the
Northern, Southern, Eastern and
Western Districts of Texas.
